The Self-Exclusion Program is for individuals who may find themselves gambling too much, or that it no longer feels like a game, this Program can be an important first step in helping manage their gambling.
The Self-Exclusion Program enables an individual to exclude themselves from PlayAlberta.
Research has shown that when self-exclusion is combined with professional support, it can be one of the most effective ways to stop gambling.

Who is it for?
For individuals that feel they need to take a break from gambling, the Self-Exclusion Program can be an important first step in helping manage your gambling.
What’s to be expected when I sign up?
Self-exclusion begins immediately after you’ve signed the agreement and lasts for the period chosen by you. You are not able to withdraw or cancel your agreement before its expiry date.
What happens when I complete the agreement?
When you complete the Self-Exclusion Agreement, AGLC Self-Exclusion Program staff will attempt to contact you within 10 business days of self-excluding.
This contact is meant to provide you with additional resource information, as well as check-in to see how you are doing on the Program.
This initial contact will be via email, however, if you wish to not receive any further contact, you may request this by replying to the message.
If you have an alternate contact method, you can share it with the Program staff when contacted as well.
